Tel Aviv label Toda has selected the cast for its debut at Israel Canada Tel Aviv Fashion Week. Israel Hayom reported on October 23 that 30 participants were chosen from 200 invited to auditions at its Sheinkin Street shop. The show, titled “Bereshit,” is scheduled for November 12.
A shop with a community around it
The label’s street presence predates this runway appearance. In an April feature, Ynet described the opening of its independent boutique and the young community gathering around it. Its designer discussed local production in limited runs and the importance of meeting customers in a physical shop.
