NIS 18 a Session: Tel Aviv University Life Sciences Study Groups Return

First-year Life Sciences students at Tel Aviv University can register for subsidised chemistry and mathematics study groups at NIS 18 per three-hour session. The faculty announced registration on 20 October 2026. Xtra's booking pages list the first Mathematics A session for 27 October and General and Analytical Chemistry for 29 October.
Small-group support throughout the semester
The programme is run by the faculty with Xtra Student, the university student union's academic-support unit. The faculty says the small groups meet in person on campus, giving students time to practise course material, work on homework and ask questions during the semester.
The announced subjects are General and Analytical Chemistry, Mathematics A and Mathematics B, including the extended mathematics courses. Choose the listing that matches your actual course: Xtra has separate pages for the regular and extended versions.
Opening dates and session prices
Mathematics A is listed to begin on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, from 18:00 to 21:00. Its page sets out 13 meetings, with a displayed price of NIS 18 per session.
General and Analytical Chemistry is listed to begin on Thursday, 29 October 2026, also from 18:00 to 21:00. That page likewise lists 13 meetings at NIS 18 each. These dates belong to those two courses; they should not be treated as the timetable for every subject in the programme.
Who can enrol, and what should you check first?
Both registration pages restrict participation to first-year students in the Faculty of Life Sciences who are enrolled in the corresponding course. Check that requirement before adding a session to your basket.
Xtra lists 055-9612333 for enquiries, with service hours of Sunday to Thursday, 09:00-17:00. Before attending, obtain the building and room details for your chosen session. The customer-service office address should not be assumed to be the teaching venue.
If you are arranging your weekly timetable, check the gap between the study group and your other classes, as well as the cancellation terms before purchasing. The useful choice is a session you can attend consistently, as well as one that matches the name of your course.
